After serving 24 years, he retired on June 30th, 2012 from the Baltimore County Police Department in Baltimore, Maryland. He had been assigned to the Patrol Division, the Burglary Investigation Unit, the Firearms Violence Section and for his last 17 years was assigned to the Baltimore Regional Auto Theft Team´┐Ż which is comprised of members from 3 agencies; Baltimore County, Baltimore City, and Maryland State Police. Also speaking will be Holly Sutton Security Programming Specialist Caterpillar Global Security and Lt. Michael S. Ledoux (Retired) CARFAX

Each year, CCATA presents an Award of Merit to individuals or groups for their outstanding contribution in the area of auto theft investigation and/or prevention.

For 2013, the award was presented to The Calgary Police Service - Stolen Auto Unit in recognition of their dedication and hard work in completing a very large and complex auto theft ring investigation.
